SetupsConnect your AI
Connect your AI
Claude, ChatGPT and Codex all reach Swarm the same way: through Swarm's tools. Find your app below and give it the sentence. It does the rest.
Claude Code or Codex, on the Swarm machine
The usual start. It installs Swarm, connects itself to Swarm’s tools and keeps using them. Claude Code also gets the Swarm plugin, with Swarm’s tools and setup skills.
You need: Claude Code or Codex on an Ubuntu 24.04 x86-64 machine (not a Mac: see the next section), and your ChatGPT plan or a model key.
Read swarmagent.dev/llms.txt and set up Swarm on this machine for me.
Claude Code or Codex on your Mac
Swarm can’t run on a Mac yet, so it runs on a Linux server and your AI on the Mac drives it. Your AI installs Swarm on the server over SSH, then connects over Tailscale, or over an SSH tunnel with no other account.
You need: An Ubuntu 24.04 x86-64 server (a VPS, a cloud VM or a Linux PC) with your Mac’s SSH key on it.
I'm on a Mac. Read swarmagent.dev/ai/mac.md and set up Swarm on a server for me.
Claude Code or Codex on another device
Over your private Tailscale network. Your policy decides which devices may read and which may give jobs; no key is copied around.
You need: A Tailscale account with MagicDNS and HTTPS certificates turned on.
Read swarmagent.dev/ai/connect-tailscale.md, put my Swarm machine on my Tailscale network and connect this laptop to it.
Any of them, to every machine at once
One MCP connection for all your Swarm machines on your tailnet. Every tool gets a “machine” to run on, plus fleet status and one model table.
You need: Two or more Swarm machines on your Tailscale network.
Read swarmagent.dev/ai/fleet.md and connect me to all my Swarm machines.
Claude Code on the web
The cloud session joins your tailnet as a throwaway device for as long as it runs, then disappears.
You need: A reusable, ephemeral Tailscale auth key you paste into the environment settings yourself.
Read swarmagent.dev/ai/fleet.md and tell me how to set up my Claude Code on the web environment for Swarm.
ChatGPT
OpenAI’s secure tunnel. A small client on the Swarm machine dials out to OpenAI; nothing listens on the internet.
You need: An OpenAI Platform organization with tunnels, and a tunnel key you enter on the machine yourself.
Read swarmagent.dev/ai/connect-chatgpt.md and connect ChatGPT to my Swarm.
claude.ai and ChatGPT on the web
A relay in your own Cloudflare account. Your machines dial out to it and the web app adds it as a connector. Every new sign-in shows a code you approve on your machine.
You need: A Cloudflare account. The relay is yours; Swarm’s team doesn’t run it.
Read swarmagent.dev/ai/connect-relay.md and set up a relay so claude.ai can use my Swarm.
